Diving into the archives can be overwhelming! But realizing that next month marks the 35th anniversary of my first solo trip was a lightbulb moment. As a 20th birthday gift to myself, I set my sights on Los Angeles, Hollywood to be exact. Already a pop-culture junkie, L.A. felt like the beating heart of everything I loved. It was love at first sight… and I’m pretty sure it was mutual. I’ve been back many times, celebrating both my 40th and 50th birthdays there, each visit filled with amazing memories. So, we’re starting our journey in L.A. These photos aren’t from that original trip (still searching through those old negatives!), but they’re some of my favorite shots I’ve taken there.
